From the Rehearsal Room to the Stage
At J19, we believe performing arts should lead to the excitement and experience of live performance.
At the end of every term, our students will have the opportunity to take what they have learned in class and perform it for a live audience.
Depending on the program and the work developed during the term, this may be a J19 Showcase, featuring scenes, routines and performances created throughout the term, or a full ensemble stage production, bringing our performers together to create something bigger.
These performances aren't just about putting on a show. They give students something exciting to work towards while developing confidence, teamwork, commitment, stagecraft and the discipline that comes with live theatre.
Whether it's their very first time stepping onto a stage or one of many performances, every student gets the opportunity to experience that special moment when the lights come up and it's time to perform.
